Drug Destruction

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration requires entities that can legally have controlled substances in their possession, to dispose of unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances in accordance with federal guidance. This guidance requires entities to transfer the unwanted or unused controlled substances to an authorized collector. An authorized collector must be registered by the DEA for this function.

All entities with unwanted or unused controlled substances should refer to the following website for the federal regulations and guidance and locate a registered authorized collector for disposal of unwanted or unused controlled substances.
